Exactly one year ago today, the first picture was posted on the Instagram channel of music is her passion. And so today we celebrate the first birthday of the most meaningful project of my life!
Music as a mirror of our society
As I became more and more aware of the vision of this project over the last year, namely to one day be the worldwide multimedia home of an equal music world, it still sounded like a dream. Today, one year later, I have gathered so many wonderful people around me who share this vision with me, and bring it a little bit more to life every day. So today, as then, I can say with complete conviction that we are doing exactly the right thing by working for equality, in which gender, origin, skin colour or culture plays no role, but love and respect. I have chosen music as the area close to my heart to stand up for more equality in. But music is exactly the mirror that reflects our whole society - so it is never just about music alone.
Last year, I asked one question again and again, over and over: What can we do to make our beloved music world more equal? In the process, I have received many interesting answers, which I am currently channeling for me in this way: consciousness. A healthy awareness of equality in music plays a very central role. Because once you have this awareness as we do, you can't get rid of it anymore easily. Instead, you’re inclined look more and more closely at critical topics and deepen your awareness at various points along the way. And this is exactly what we have made it our business to do: we illuminate the world of music from every imaginable angle, and are always looking for the equality factor.
On this very fulfilling journey, we met many wonderful people last year, each of whom having enriched this passionate project in their own way. Wonderful artists, like Tabea Booz, with whom I had the pleasure of conducting my very first music is her passion interview. Busiswa, who became our first artist of the week, or Ines from Bad Cop / Bad Cop, with whom we recently shot our first music is her passion video portrait.
The soul has no gender
At the same time, we got into a conversation with such wonderful people as Anja Jadryschnikova, who explained to us with an openness: "the soul has no gender". This is exactly how Franco Gandullo remained in my best memory, with whom we were allowed to make our very first Interstram Live Video and who enriched our magazine with the following statement: "What makes us the same is that we are all different".
In this first year, we were able to interview so many exciting people, find enthusiastically like-minded professionals, and tell so many inspiring stories that I can hardly wait to start the new music is her passion year. Not only have we carried many inspiring stories out into the world, but have also taken care of the structural and legal form of our ever-growing project. Thus, since June, the music is her passion society has been in the process of being founded, which forms the foundation of a sustainable network that connects people all over the world with the same awareness of equality and passion for music.
